OF WORRY AND DESPAIR
Has it been that a man should direct his steps? That a man ought to know the way that he should take? Has it not been written that "I will instruct you and teach you in the way that you should go"? Why, my soul then do you fret? Why are you so disturbed within me? Surely He did say, " I am with you, I made you, I will carry you even to your old age and sustain you." So, then my soul, why don"t you lay it all at His beautiful feet? The worry, the questions- He can handle it because He is gentle and wise. Father-God knows what He s doing in your life. Did you not lay it on His altar? Let Him take delight in that sacrifice. After all He is the King. He will do as He pleases.
